About Stamp Duty

Stamp Duty is a type of tax which needs to paid to a government under the provisions of Indian Stamp Act 1899. It can be paid legally without adjudication for any transaction performed by way of document or instrument under the provisions of Indian Stamp Act. On the basis of the Stamp Duty Ready Reckoner, it is payable on market value or agreement value, whichever is higher.
